Studies and designs to Phase III or feasibility of the ANI of the civil work for 18 Tunnels (9 tunnels in parallel) in charge of the APP GICA, which are located between the municipalities of Ibagué and Cajamarca, in the department of Tolima, with an approximate length of the underground excavations of 17 km.

The APP - GICA S.A. currently develops the studies, designs and construction of the Second Carriageway Ibagué - Cajamarca, in the department of Tolima. The project includes within its alignment, in addition to viaducts, bridges, open-cut excavations and embankments, the design of tunnels.

The project consists of an alternative dual carriageway layout, which is drawn to the south of the existing road, that is, with an alternative to the layout towards the interior of the massif, where open-cut works, industrial roads are reduced. And bridges and longer tunnels are generated. The tunnels will be designed with unidirectional traffic with a maximum height gauge of 5.0 m, lane widths with berms of 4.0 m for roads of 8.0 m and platforms of 0.75 m for distance between gables of 9.50 m.
